Description

UCLan Inspiring You

Do you have students that would like to know more about studying at university? UCLan is offering our local secondary schools the opportunity to bring up to 30 students (unless otherwise stated) on to UCLan Preston campus to experience a range of interactive activities based upon your student's interests and ambitions. Each day will include up to three sessions each related to existing UCLan undergraduate courses. We hope to give your students a ‘meaningful HE encounter’ and a better understanding of their options post 16.

Each day has been specifically designed to be used as part of your school’s evidence of meeting the Gatsby Benchmarks, specifically:

Gatsby Benchmark 3: Challenge your young peoples’ stereotype about what kind of people go to university by meeting our current undergraduate ambassadors, who will act as HE role models for your students throughout the day.

Gatsby Benchmark 4: Each session will link what they are learning at school at the moment with specific HE courses and potential careers for the future.

Gatsby Benchmark 7: The Inspiring You events are a fantastic opportunity for your students to experience a meaningful and informative On-Campus HE encounters to find out about a range of opportunities available to them post16. The students will have the opportunity to meet both staff and learners throughout the day.
